Dental Care Plan Add-on

The Dental Care Package is an optional add-on to a Wellness Plan. We have many options to suit you and your pet’s individual needs, that may include:

  • Pre-anesthetic consult and screening - The extent of the screening will depend on your pet's age and underlying health issues. Every pet will have an ECG (electrocardiogram) to assess heart health, and a blood and urine panel to assess liver, kidney, and other internal organ function. Older pets will also have x-rays to assess the health of the lungs, and a more advanced blood test to check thyroid function. The veterinarian will review the procedure, discuss the benefits and risks, and answer all of your questions.

  • Hospitalization, IV catheter, IV fluids, pre-op medications - Ensuring your pet is comfortable and safe prior to anesthesia.

  • Monitoring by a Registered Veterinary Technician of your pet's vital signs, including temperature, breathing rate, heart rate, oxygen levels, and blood pressure.

  • A full dental assessment of each tooth, including probing under the gum-line and x-rays.

  • While your pet is waking up, we will monitor them closely, keeping them warm and ensuring they are pain-free.

NOT INCLUDED in our Dental Care Packages:

  • Based on the full dental assessment, the veterinarian may find disease or broken teeth that will need to be treated or removed. Since each pet is different, we do not include the costs of oral surgery in our Dental Care Packages. If any additional treatment needs to be performed, we will contact you to discuss the treatment options and costs.

  • Medications dispensed to your pet to be given at home. Medication choice and dose is case dependent, and may depend on your pet’s size. We can provide an estimate for dispensed medications prior to enrolment.

Plan Pricing

All plans have an Enrolment Fee of $200 + tax due on the day of sign up. This acts as an Enrolment Fee, as well as the Booking Deposit that secures your dental procedure appointment.* If you add a Dental Care Plan to a Wellness Plan, the Wellness Plan Enrolment Fee ($25 + tax) will be waived.

Canine Dental Care Packages range from $88 - $126 + tax per month.

Feline Dental Care Packages range from $56 - $94 + tax per month.

These monthly payments are in addition to your selected Wellness Plan monthly payments.

On the day of your pet’s dental procedure, you will be required to pay the fees for any oral surgery and/or dispensed medications. Treatment plans and cost estimates will be provided at the time of enrolment and during the booking process.

*The Enrolment Fee / Booking Deposit is non-refundable within 7 days of the booked procedure.

It is important to note that Wellness Plans are not pet health insurance, nor do they replace the need for pet health insurance. Our Wellness Plans cover care that is scheduled and predictable. Pet health insurance is for unexpected and unplanned illness and injury. We recommend all pets be covered by pet health insurance.
